Time,life,dreams

Here comes the sun, yeah, here comes the sun and I say...

it's alright.

*****

There are some strange moments in life at which you feel like time has slipped from your hands...

....and it's dreadfully been locked in a peculiar invention, named 'the clock'.
It doesn't belong to you anymore, it never did actually. The only means to realise the existence of time is life, another strange invetnion that consists of experiences, motions, feelings, people, places... and most of all time.

...it's some times
full of blurred images...

...at other times though
it seems to be full of...

...happiness.

..let's waste time

chasing cars

around our heads...

*****

And dreams are what life needs to be completed.

ONE DAY I AM GOING TO GROW WINGS

a chemical reaction...

sun, sun, sun here it comes.

And now some serious talking...

Robert Doisneau was a French photographer I currently found out how much fond I am of his work. Well actually, it happened to learn about him a year ago, when my best friend gave me on my 16th-I think- birthday a huge calendar(you know, the ones that are supposed to be hung on a wall) of his work, full of photography taken in Paris, without knowing what kind of a masterpiece she was giving me! You see, we were quite indifferent about photography as an aspect of art then, and she just bought it to me because I am nuts about Paris. But now, that my tastes have changed and I am absolutely interested in photography, I can see what a beautiful personality that Robert must have been! I am now to tell you a few things about his life and then share some of his gorgeous photography.

So, Robert Doisneau was born on April 14, 1912 and died on April 1, 1994. He was a photographer noted for his frank and often humorous depictions of Parisian street life, being one of France's most popular and prolific reportage photographers. He was known for his modest, playful, and ironic images of amusing juxtapositions, mingling social classes, and eccentrics in contemporary Paris streets and cafes. Doisneau has presented a charming vision of human frailty and life as a series of quiet, incongruous moments, and as he has written: "The marvels of daily life are exciting; no movie director can arrange the unexpected that you find in the street.". His work gives unusual prominence and dignity to children's street culture; returning again and again to the theme of children at play in the city, unfettered by parents. His work treats their play with seriousness and respect. The Estate of Robert Doisneau is currently represented by Bruce Silverstein Gallery, New York.

Interesting, wasn't he? You can find more about his life, exhibitions, awards and publication on Wikipedia.

And now some marvellous work!

Si tu n'etais pas la comment pourrais-je vivre?Je ne connaitrais pas ce bonheur qui m'enivre. Quand je suis dans tes bras mon coeur joyeux se livre...

So, that's all for now. I'm afraid I need to end this post here, I wish I had more time to post more Robert Doisneau photography! I hope this is as musch inspiring to you as it is for me...
